“Start with the end in mind” – it’s the title of a new report by my guest this week on The Infrastructure Podcast which underlines the vital importance of getting project commissioning right when it comes to delivering infrastructure investment outcomes.
Paul Turner, P.Eng, PMP is founder and chief executive of the
Industrial Commissioning Association. Based in Winnipeg in Canada, Paul draws on a career spent delivering projects in aerospace, oil and gas and power distribution to explains why project commissioning must be central to project planning from day one – not just an afterthought at the end.
Have a listen
here. Essentially the message is that the more people working on projects understand the importance of commissioning and the value it provides, the more successful projects will be in meeting cost, schedule, and quality objectives.
Sounds like a pretty attractive proposition, to be honest!
